Mary Miur: Courier’s Code
30 December 2008I finally finished the first draft of book II in the Mary Miur series. It’s a little longer than the first one, and I am eagerly awaiting feedback from the initial readers (you know who you are, slackers!). It was a lot of fun to write, and I had most of it in my tiny head before I even began typing it up. The one thing I am concerned about, however, is the ending. I just didn’t know where to end it. There was a lot of ’story’ going on (and not much action) where the book ends, and it could have ended earlier in the story, or later. Book III will, as book II did, pick up right where the previous book left off, so the ending point isn’t as crucial as the first and third (fingers crossed) book will be. At the same time, I don’t want to just leave people hanging. On the other hand, it does have a similar ending to the first book (shown left) and it fits in to my ending ’style’. On the flip side of the coin (can you tell I’m trying to use as many bad metaphors as I can?), it needs to come to a logical ending that satisfies the most number of readers.
More zombies!
Yes, book II has more zombies than the first. It also has more adventure, skill, and drama, with just a smattering of sliced ham. Oh yeah, it’s a good one. Keep looking on this page for more information. If you haven’t noticed, justinreedauthor.com is no longer in operation. I am consolidating my blogs into the tubezombie, so there!
